Glacier National Park

On September 4, I went to Logan Pass by myself. I worked on the trailed to Hidden Lake back and forth. Saw some Mountain Goats early on from the Overlook but they were too farrrrr away. So, I moved back to the rock piles for some Pika. But then later in the day, some hikers told me the goats had moved in very close. So, i headed back to the Overlook, slightly beyond and sure enough........

On September 5, went to Many Glacier on the east side of the park for the first time. Google told me Fishercap Lake is famous for moose. We waited about 30 minutes, did not see any. As we ready to leave, suddenly the ground shook as a big shadow stomping across in front of us. We scared a bull back into the lake. Oh boy, he is HUGE!

After watching the bull moose in the Fishercap Lake for about an hour, we decided to continue our hike but as we were leaving, another thundering stomping again. This time we scared the mom and calf to the lake. So, we headed back ot the lake and spent another 30 minutes watching the whole Moose family.

On September 4, I went to Logan Pass by myself. At the end of the day, while heading back to my car at the parking lot, saw a bunch of folks gathered at a corner. Turned out there were three Bighorn Sheeps there. What a wonderful way to end my day.

On September 11, we took on a longest hike, 5.5 miles to Grinnell Glacier, 11 miles roundtrip with 1600ft elevation gain. On the way back, the sun has almost set. We saw a couple of Mule Deers. One was particularly inquisitive. She got quite close to my camera. It was my pleasure to be her photographer. Mule Deer seems slightly bigger than White-tailed Deer. At least bigger than the White-tailed I saw in Texas.
